I found these sweet illustrations in an old dictionary my father has in his collection. I love the fact that they're drawn well but have this certain feel of not being drawn entirely correctly. I've seen similar plates in museums where it looks as if the person putting it together has not seen the beast in question but merely heard of it through word of mouth or fable. Anyway I love them.
