Maaike found these cards from Abbatt Toys online at things magazine. I presume Animal Families was a kids game from years gone by. I love the simple, bold quirkiness of the illustrations.
These are great. I cannot decide whether I think they have a South American feel or Japanese feel. I think it is the wood cut feel I get from the drawings. They are very interesting (and unusual). Good find! I love them.
