Great series of street style shots posted by Sara Trickett on itswhatiminto.com. Photos courtesy of local talent Tyrone Bradley. There's a span of other great content on this site. Go on... give it a browse.
I HEART MARKET - STREET STYLE
WISDOM AND YOUTH - OUR OFFICE
Our team and our office were recently featured in the latest edition of Elle. Jenna McArthur visited the studio and checked out what we wear and what we get up to. Thought you guys might want to have a look see at what we all look like and the cool space we get to work in every day. A few of the team were chosen to be featured in the mag. I was pipped at the post for a guys spot by my boss Neville Trickett and my mate Darryn, two of the best dressed and stylish blokes I know. It was an easily accepted defeat. I did however get a mention and a pic on the site. That's pretty neat :) Read the article here. Oh and that's me with the camera and my Dad's army jacket.
URBAN OUTFITTERS EARLY FALL
Urban Outfitters are always on trend with each new range and this one for early fall doesn't disappoint. There are a few things I dig but the mix of brights and earth tones coming through, their art direction and styling, the locations, the offbeat models and the fact that they're supporting students at the Pratt Institute who got the chance to design a dress for this season, make them a permanent favourite. Now just to find out when they're opening a store in South Africa. Oh and I recently discovered they have a tumblr. Follow them. Above are some images from their latest catalogue. See more on their site.
OTH AVENUE
MENSWEAR ON MISS MOSS

I've long been a fan of the Miss Moss blog. Diana's eye for great aesthetics, her fashion comparisons and other projects for JCrew, downloadable music mixes and a shared appreciation for style and fashion from years gone by, has me working that older posts button ruthlessly. I recently spotted these fashion comparisons on her blog pairing the work of M.C. Escher and recent menswear shows from Paris and Milan and had to repost. All images courtesy of missmoss.co.za. Original streetshots courtesy of Tommy Ton of jakandjil.
VANS SK8-HI STANDARD ISSUE

In spite of my amused response to some bloggers freaking out over a pair of shoes, I find myself getting pretty excited when I see a pair like these. Vans have always dished up quality shoes over the years. Easily one of my favourite brands. Found here via offthehook.

The Bicycle Cap by peSeta for the New Museum from casa peSeta on Vimeo.
If you're into bikes and you prefer hand crafted items over mass produced goods, then you'll love this love story of a bike and a sewing machine. Spanish brand peSeta produced a special series of limited edition bicycle caps for the New Museum of New York City.
KANYE WEST BY TOMMY TON

Tommy Ton's blog jakandjil has long been a favourite of mine. Browsing there is an escape into a world of celebs, out there fashion and carefully considered detail. Dig the feel of these shots he took of Kanye West at the Museum of Modern Art's concert series "The Party in the Garden".
LACELESS LEATHER LOAFERS

So here's another post about a pair of shoes. Had to feature these laceless leather loafers from Maison Martin Margiela. They're a sort of antithesis of the previous ones posted here, you know the copper brogues. Via hypebeast.com. Someone commented on the original post that these look " like shoes Basquiat would have worn with his dirty bathrobe". I like that. Basquiat was one cool cat.
DIP DYED JUMPER

I know this may not be the very latest trend in fashion, namely dip dyeing, but I've seen this done well and I've seen it done very poorly. This in my opinion is how it should be done. Found on designspiration.net where you will find many wonderful things. I'd even go as far as saying it's probably just as good as ffffound. Check out the great search tool. Something I feel ffffound could do with.
GIFT GIVING IDEAS FOR COOL GUYS
ROLL-UPS, BOOTS AND BROGUES

That recent post in which I featured the super shiny brogues was actually inspired by these images. I sent my boss a link to Dapper Lou which had a feature on brogues, so he hauled out his new pair and made us all go Wow! Really dig the colourways and various styles. Not everything on the site is to my taste but there's some great mens fashion for those that are interested. Brogues are making some huge headway in mens fashion at the moment and what better way than to rock them with a pair of roll-up cords or denim. Dig those three looks as well. Galaxy shirt, tawny cords and blue brogues. Too cool.
